I have just returned to New Zealand and am starting a website where artist and collectors from around the world can exchange art work for free with other artist and collectors.
After being in London for 2 years and returning here to the small but good street art scene I wanted to create an opportunity for New Zealand and Australian artist to get their work seen worldwide and felt that a free exchange program would be the best way.
UAE is an exchange medium website where art lovers can exchange their works for free. UAE has been set up with the intention of creating an opportunity for people to collect art from all around the world without the expense of other art websites. Artists and Collectors will submit their art and/or collection to UAE administration for acceptance. Once accepted there will be two areas their works will be categorized.
-Artist to Artist exchange. Once an Artist has submitted their work and has been accepted to UAE, their art will be placed in the Artist to Artist Gallery where it will stay for a period of one month. In this category only Artists can make an exchange. After a one month period if not exchanged the work will then automatically fall into the second gallery: “Artist to Collector exchange”
-Artist to Collector exchange. Once a Collector has submitted their work and been accepted to UAE, their work will be placed in the Artist to Collector Gallery. In the Artist to Collector Gallery Artists can exchange with Collectors using their chosen work, Collectors will also have the opportunity to exchange work with Artists whose work had not been exchange in the first gallery over the first month period. If after a one month period the art has not been exchanged in this gallery it will then drop into the third gallery; “Public Gallery”
- Public Gallery. Public Gallery is the third and final gallery. This Gallery will contain all the work that has expired from the first two galleries without exchange. There will be a Buy Now price set by the Collector or Artist.
-If one artist is interested in another artist work they click on the art and an “Under Offer” will show on that piece of work. This will then send an email to the Artist of this work; from there it is up to the two parties to make contact and proceed with the exchange as they see fit. It is similar with the “Buy Now” option in the “Public Gallery”, Buyers and Sellers will be sent the appropriate details from admin and can organize payment etc.
The site is completely free for all to use.

There are no obligations to artist or collectors. You can remove your work at anytime and delete your profile as well.
We are currently testing and would be looking to launch in the New Year. The plan is to get artist and collectors signed up ready for the launch.
