Manky Chops Gallery is excited to present “Xoe Hall of Fame and the One Hit Wonderfuls”. A unique, one of a kind exhibition of Xoe Halls latest collection of works. Her obsession with cowboy boots, psychedelic western wonders and recycled leather loving, and brings to you her ‘oh so secret’ collection that you will be trying ever so hard not to touch…though she wouldnt mind if you did.
Xoe Halls art has been gracing the walls of Wellington over the lastyear with bars such as Bodega and the Fringe Bar revamped with her bright beautiful murals. Xoe is also the co-founder of the underground lo-brow art Gallery Manky Chops where she devotes her time to helping lo-brow artists get their art up on gallery walls.

We here at CCHQ have a whole bunch of stuff lying round that is just getting underfoot and clogging up the hallways. Most of that stuff happens to be art and we’ve asked some friends of ours if they are faced with the same situation at their whares.
They said yes! So, it’s time now for a spring clean! A one day only art clearance featuring great, interesting work at walk out the door prices. 9am -4pm, SAT 19th here at CCHQ – 38 Poynton Terrace. Behind St Kevins Arcade on K’rd. Check here for directions.
Sole returns to the 7th Chamber to serve up a tribute to the oldschool masters of Soul, Funk, Reggae, Dub, and all that classic goodness.
Under the guise of ‘Sole-Phonic’, he launches a new extension to his alias, blending his passion for both music and art. This latest body of work is inspired by the forefathers & mothers of our modern music culture, and the record cover artworks that accompanied their vinyl 12″ & 7″ inch records.
From the soulful depths of Nina Simone & Al Green, the funky grooves of James Brown & Michael Jackson, and the irie vibes of Bob Marley & Lee Scratch Perry.
Come along from 7pm Friday 11th September to see some of Sole’s amazing pieces, listen to heavy beats from Base FM and a drink or two of course!
